ZamCEN Logo Design

The circular economy was a foreign concept to me before working with Tandem on their branding. The circular economy focuses on designing out waste and pollution, keeping products and materials in use, and regenerating natural systems. Tandem and The Bright Future Project are part of the Zambia Circular Economy Network, ZamCEN for short.

The logo uses Zambia’s unique geography to create a circular spiral, with Zambia’s pedicle as it’s centre. Each section of the spiral fills in the shape of Zambia. The colour scheme blends red, orange, and green to follow the colours of the flag. For a single colour logo, each section is offset to create a stencil
